We are incredibly lucky to have such an amazing team here at Maddisons Residential, so much so, that we feel we should be shining the light on a member each month. This month we want to introduce you to our Operations Director, Emma Bennett – our “pocket rocket”, who is full of endless energy, great ideas and years of industry experience, allowing her to tackle any problem thrown her way. Below we delve into her role here within Maddisons and explore what she enjoys getting up to in her free time.

What does her role as Operations Director cover?

Emma joined Maddisons in 2019 after working for over 20 years in property search and acquisition, property specific recruitment and estate agency. Her wealth of experience within the industry ensures she is perfectly suited to her role at Maddisons. We spoke to Emma to get an insider view of what a typical day in the office looks like for her.

“My days are very varied” she says. “I manage the operational and logistical side of the business and have recently been hugely focussed on the launch of a new customer relationship management (CRM) system, which is due to go live next week! I also manage the team, and I oversee the marketing and social media work undertaken of our available stock. It is wonderful to be able to use my industry knowledge and experience to make changes to the business’ efficiency which in turn improves the service our clients receive.”

What part of your role is most challenging?

Emma explains, “the trickiest part would probably be deciding which of our properties to give a Featured or Premium listing to across the portals to help the property stand out and gain maximum exposure. Equally challenging is deciding on which to run a social media campaign - all our wonderful properties warrant space and additional promotion, but it must be decided on a rotational basis to ensure it is fair for all our clients!”

Getting to know Emma Bennett

Emma was born and brought up in Singapore but boarded at Cranbrook School from the age of 13. Before starting university, she spent a year travelling in and around Fiji, Australia, Bali, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, India and Nepal with friends. After graduating, she moved to London where she met her husband, and they had their two daughters. They relocated to Tunbridge Wells in 2012 and haven’t looked back! That said, her dream place to live would be a beach house in Malaysia as South East Asia remains a true love. She loves spending her free time entertaining her family and friends and travels as much as possible to introduce the world to her children.

We are so grateful to have Emma  in our team and it has been a real pleasure watching her help progress the efficiency of our business for our clients. If you would like help selling, buying, renting or letting a property, please get in touch.  We’d love to help.
