At Maddisons Residential, we like to keep up to date with the latest technologies, products and services that are being developed in the property sector. The EA Masters was held this year on 21 September in London and some of our team attended to reconnect with old contacts, make new ones and of course celebrate our double gold win in sales and lettings.

What is the EA masters?

The EA Masters is an annual conference that celebrates everything the estate agency industry has achieved. At the event, property technology companies showcase their latest products and services ensuring that, as the top performing agents in the country, we continue to develop and improve to deliver an incredible service to our clients.

There is also an inspiring line-up of highly successful leaders, entrepreneurs and visionaries from other industry sectors, each delivering 20-minute TED-style presentations that enable the attending agents to out-think, out-market and out-perform the competition.

What our day looked like…

We listened to some incredible speakers

John Volanthen was one of the British Rescue Divers in the Thai cave rescue of the 12 Wild Boards football players and their coach.

It was an absolute honour to listen to John speak about his involvement in the rescue- the sheer scale of operation, when coupled with the significant danger, coordination and communication required between so many parties was truly humbling.  The courage and bravery of all those involved was staggering in the face of such adversity. We can certainly take away from his talk the importance of team work and communication and ensure these valuable skills are aligned in our work.

Helen Sharman, the first British Astronaut in Space also spoke. Helen told us about her journey – metaphorically and literally! She was so interesting to listen to - her story is really quite remarkable. The selection process and subsequent training was phenomenally intense, and Helen underwent countless tests of both physical and mental endurance.   It was an absolute privilege to hear her speak. Her drive and determination to be the best is a message we have certainly taken away with us.  

We listened to some lively debates

There were some heated debates about all things property between esteemed property professionals, hosted by Judge and TV Presenter Robert Rinder and SKY Sports Presenter David Jones. James, Partner at Maddisons Residential was thrilled to have secured a selfie with Judge Rinder!

We celebrated our wins

The day concluded with a very impressive (and delicious!) awards dinner where we were able to celebrate our double gold win as well as the successes of our industry colleagues.

We had a fabulous day at the EA Masters - we learnt so much and were able to strengthen and develop relationships with some great people. Bring on next year!
