As Easter fast approaches, Tunbridge Wells always has plenty of family friendly activities on offer. From Easter egg hunts and food markets to countryside walks and seeing the newborn lambs, there’s something for everyone. Here is our roundup of top picks to keep the family entertained over Easter.

Where will the Easter bunny be visiting this year?

There are a several Easter egg hunts across Tunbridge Wells this year, including:

  1. The Demelza Hospice Easter egg hunt

The beautiful gardens of the Demelza Hospice is being paid a visit by “Cotton Tail” the Easter Bunny, on 29th March. There will be an Easter egg hunt in the beautiful gardens alongside prizes, activities, stalls and refreshments.

  1. The Hand and Sceptre Easter egg hunt

It is recommended that you book ahead for this one. The Hand and Sceptre pub in Southborough is hosting an Easter egg hunt in their garden on 30th March. While the kids search the garden, parents can enjoy a well-earned refreshment.

  1. The Spa Valley Railway Easter Train Ride

Over the long Easter weekend, 29th March to 1st April, you can join Little Red Riding Hood on her quest to find the perfect Easter egg for her Granny. Children will receive activities packs and along the way meet the Easter Bunny at Eridge station. Trains depart from Tunbridge Wells West Station at varying times during the day.

The Pantiles Market

Running across the Easter weekend on, 30th to 31st March, this local market, located close to our office on the historic Pantiles, offers visitors a range of delights from delicious local food, artisan produce, antiques and designer clothes. The lively atmosphere and beautiful historic setting make this market a gorgeous day out, when you add a stop at one of the local cafés or restaurants.

Lambing Weekend

Happening a little after Easter this year, but one not to miss, is the popular Lambing Weekend at Hadlow College on 20th to 21st April. This wonderful day out is filled with the opportunity to see the newborn lambs, enjoy refreshments served at several food and drinks stalls, arts and crafts stalls, birds of prey displays, archery, and fun fair rides. A family friendly day, perfect to mark the arrival of spring!

As the weather gets brighter and warmer at this time of the year, there are plenty of local walks to enjoy, especially in the High Rocks and Groombridge area where you can admire the carpets of bluebells and other spring flowers.
