For over a century, the church hall at King Charles the Martyr Church has been a cornerstone of Tunbridge Wells' vibrant community life. Built in 1916, this beloved hall has hosted a myriad of activities, from initiatives tackling loneliness among the elderly to yoga sessions, charity events, and meet-ups for Ukrainian refugees.

However, this much-loved building now faces an urgent challenge. The roof, untouched by full renovation since its construction, is in dire need of repair. Corroded nails and frequent leaks threaten its structural integrity, making a complete renovation essential.

The Hall4All Appeal has been launched to fund the roof's renovation, ensuring the hall remains safe and usable for decades. The project also includes installing insulation for improved energy efficiency and other upgrades like a new disabled-access ramp and a reconfigured entrance.

The first phase of this vital work carries a cost of £264,000. With £90,000 already raised, local support is crucial to secure the remaining £174,000 and bridge the final £50,000 needed to kickstart the renovations.

King Charles the Martyr Church is a Grade I listed building, renowned for its historical significance and architectural beauty. The hall is integral to this legacy, serving generations and enriching the social fabric of Tunbridge Wells.
