Maddisons Residential was very proud to recently sponsor a brand-new event, The Big Reveal, which was organised by our wonderful neighbours, The Zero Waste Company.  On the evening of the 13th of November, The Pantiles were filled to the brim with festive fun as the traders unveiled their Christmas windows and the public voted for their favourites. It was the perfect way to welcome the season of goodwill and to celebrate good times and great local businesses of Tunbridge Wells. It was undoubtedly a roaring success!

Getting into the Christmas spirit

This year, it was clear to see that the Tunbridge Wells community needed some extra cheer, especially after Covid-19 dampened the festive spirit for everyone in 2020! And it is fair to say that The Pantiles were packed to the brim with excitement as carol singers, vendors and Santa enjoyed the cheerful Christmas ambiance. Amongst the smell of mince pies, mulled wine and a buzzing atmosphere there was even a romantic proposal!

In case you missed it…

We were thrilled at the number of people who came out to celebrate with us on our beloved Pantiles. The event began at 6pm with a speech at the Bandstand by the Tunbridge Wells Town Crier and our Founder, Deborah Richards.

The unveiling of each thoughtfully designed seasonal shop window was then led by the Town Crier. The procession of very merry people made its way from the heart of The Pantiles towards the High Street, marveling at each window as they went. The night continued with plenty of mulled wine, singing, and festive food—the ideal Christmas combination!

Our Christmas theme

We were delighted with our window, which embraced the theme of home, and was designed for little children to peer through the windows to see the lovely scenes beyond.  Huge congratulations to the amazing Catherine Hills who scooped first prize for her beautiful window.

A roaring Pantiles success

The Big Reveal was a fantastic opportunity to lift people's spirits while also raising funds for charity. Thank you for West Kent Mind and Hospice in the Weald for sending your fundraisers to support the event and collect much-needed funds.

Thank you again to Holly and Charlotte at The Zero Waste Company for putting on such a fantastic event, and to everyone who came out to show their support. We can't wait to do it all again next year! Why not pop down to The Pantiles to see our wonderful winter window, along with many others – and please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you would like our friendly team to assist with selling or letting your property.
